Now, for the less self-centered batch o' photos ...Here are a bunch of pix of other people in my life, family and friends, as well as some photographs taken by me on my various travels.
This room is under construction, and will grow gradually.
New Orleanian traditional jazz clarinetist Pete Fountain, performing in his club Reunion Hall at the 1984 New Orleans World's Fair.
An impromptu traditional music seisiún, or session, on the streets of Kilkenny, Ireland, during the 1988 Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the All-Ireland Traditional Music Festival. That big fella on the right with the spot of blood on his cheek had just gotten into a big fight in the bar, stormed out of the place, drunk and belligerent, and was being pretty terrifying ... until he heard the session, produced a flute from somewhere and joined in. He was brilliant.
My sister Melissa, at the Banks Street Bar, Mid-City, New Orleans, Jazzfest 1995. Here she's shown doing what she does best: whooping people's asses at pool. In fact, that night she whooped me, Michael, Terry and Chris (who has a pool table of his own at his place, ferchrissakes ...)
