THE NEVILLE BROTHERS - Love the One You're With/You Can't Always Get
What You Want [LIVE FROM PLANET EARTH/A&M] Just another example
of how the Brothers are one of the greatest cover bands on earth,
in addition to their own great material.
INGRID KARKLINS - Between Breaths [ANIMA MUNDI/Green Linnet] Second
     excellent folk-funk release from Latvian-American singer/songwriter.

LIVE - I Alone [THROWING COPPER/Radioactive] Intense and emotional
vocals from this outstanding Pennsylvania alternative outfit.

Endangered Species] Brother Cyril's side band and its driving
     uptown reggae funk.

[LOUISIANA CAJUN MUSIC, VOLUME 3: THE EARLY '30s/Old Timey] One

a barroom brawl before the first was released.
INEZ CATALON - 'Tites Toutes Rivieres Faitra Une Grand Riviere [ZODICO:
LOUISIANA CREOLE MUSIC/Rounder] Miss Inez is perhaps the last of
the Acadian house ballad singers; fortunately, her art is being
learned and preserved by a young folksinger/apprentice named
Marce Lacouture. Wonderful stuff. By request!
STEVE RILEY & THE MAMOU PLAYBOYS - Tous Les Temps En Temps [LIVE!/Rounder]
Steve picks up the 3-row zydeco accordion for this Clifton Chenier
cover, with David Greeley on vocals.

an all-instrumental record made after the departure of Christy Moore.

TOASTED HERETIC - Lightning [MINDLESS OPTIMISM/Bananafish] This one
prompted calls at 2:45am and 3:05 am! Galway's finest, though
the new release is not for the faint of heart; they display a harder
edge, as well as the gorgeous ballads. Wonderful lyrics from singer
Julian Gough and stellar guitar from Declan Collins. $20 from
House of Heretic, 27 University Road, Galway, Ireland. Tell 'em I

some Nusrat to him, and they threatened to kill him if he ever
played it in the office again. Philistines ...
