RYAN ADAMS - New York, New York [GOLD/Lost Highway]
	We love you, New York.
GUY CLARK - To Live's To Fly [POET: A TRIBUTE TO TOWNES VAN
	ZANDT/Free Falls Entertainment]

Capitol Records have remastered and rereleased the entire catalogue
from The Band, with extra tracks (and in some cases extra discs) and
extended liner notes. This is great American roots music.
THE BAND - The Weight [MUSIC FROM BIG PINK/Capitol]
THE BAND - Up on Cripple Creek [ROCK OF AGES/Capitol]
	Previously unreleased track.
THE BAND - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down [ROCK OF AGES/
	Capitol]
THE BAND with BOB DYLAN - When I Paint My Masterpiece
	[ROCK OF AGES/Capitol]
	Previously unreleased.

Solas were forced to cancel the remainder of their Fall 2001
West Coast tour, as they cannot get out of the NYC Metro Area
due to the air travel restrictions. We may miss hearing and
seeing them perform live this weekend, but I'm gonna play LOTS
of Solas music tonight.
SOLAS - Níl na Lá (Daybreak Has Not Yet Come)
SOLAS - The Flowing Bowl/Máire Breathnach's #1/The Doon/
	The Mason's Men (reels) [SOLAS/Shanachie]
SOLAS - The Unquiet Grave [SUNNY SPELLS AND SCATTERED SHOWERS/
	Shanachie]
SOLAS - The Banks of Lough Gowna/The Gaelic Club/Vega Mandolin
	[THE WORDS THAT REMAIN/Shanachie]

DOC WATSON - The Lone Pilgrim [DOC WATSON AT GERDES FOLK CITY/
	Sugar Hill]
From Doc's first solo engagement, at New York's Gerdes
	Folk City, in 1962.
THE ALLEN STREET STRING BAND - Flora's Eighth [THE MARIMAC
	ANTHOLOGY: DEEP IN OLD-TIME MUSIC/Rounder]
THE DEL McCOURY BAND - Gone But Not Forgotten [DEL AND THE BOYS/
	Ceili Music]
GILLIAN WELCH & DAVID RAWLINGS - I Want To Sing That Rock
and Roll [DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN: LIVE CONCERT
PERFORMANCES BY THE ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS OF "O BROTHER,
	WHERE ART THOU?/Lost Highway]

SPENCER BOHREN - Samson and Delilah [CARRY THE WORD/Zephyr]
I've been reprising some oft-played songs and tunes of
recent weeks, in case I've picked up some new listeners
on Thursdays. Here's another one to pique your interest,
from the New Orleans-based bluesman's astonishing
album of gospel songs. This one you know; it's by the
	Rev. Gary Davis.
TOMMY MALONE - Real [SOUL HEAVY/Louisiana Red Hot]
Soulful roots-rock from the guitarist and former lead singer
	of New Orleans' subdudes.
DALLAS WAYNE - Bouncin' Beer Cans Off the Jukebox [HERE I AM
	IN DALLAS/Hightone]
BILL KIRCHEN - Prison Band [TIED TO THE WHEEL/Hightone]

I've had no word to the contrary from Acoustic Music Series
producer Ron Stockfleth, so I'm assuming the Andy Irvine
concert is still happening this Saturday at the Celtic Arts
Center in North Hollywood, 4843 Laurel Canyon Blvd., at 8pm.
I'll send an email out to the list if this changes.
ANDY IRVINE - Forgotten Hero [RAIN ON THE ROOF/self-release]
One of Andy's great historical epics, about Irishman
Michael Davitt, founder of the National Land League,
fighter for just causes and for the rights of the
	common people.
ANDY IRVINE and DAVY SPILLANE - Hard on the Heels (Smeceno
	Horo) [EAST WIND/Tara]
When he was in his early 20s Andy hitchhiked all through
Bulgaria and the Balkans and picked up lots of Bulgarian
and Macedonian music. Here's a tune he originally did with
Planxty rearranged for himself and piper Davy Spillane,
from a whole album of Balkan tunes.
ANDY IRVINE - Gladiators [WAY OUT YONDER/Appleseed]
Another great Andy historical epic, about the men of the
	I.W.W., from Andy's latest.

SOLAS - Bheadh Buachaillín Deas ag Síle (Sheila Would
Have Herself a Lovely Boy [if she married me]) [THE HOUR
	BEFORE DAWN/Shanachie]
One track featuring Solas' new vocalist Deirdre Scanlan.
JOHN DOYLE - North Sea Holes [EVENING COME EARLY/Shanachie]
Solas' great guitarist has gone out on his own, and as
evidenced by the one track he sang on "The Hour Before
Dawn" he's truly a great singer. This is a Ewan MacColl
	song.

JOHN BOUTTÉ - Battle Hymn of the Republic [AT THE FOOT
	OF CANAL STREET/Valley Entertainment]
